For anyone who is sick enough to still be watching this post, kudos to you, as the DOA have a new activity in the mix. We can't promise all who have previously participated will be playing in the upcoming round, as we, the DOA, will be experimenting in a new style of play, and want to keep the assassin pool down to a minimum. That being said, the DOA will be electing 7 Assassin Leaders to lead a team of the most fit, agile, and technologically advanced this side of the Shaquille O'Neal. If chosen an Assassin Leader, you will be contacted by a DOA, and receive further instructions.
On a few other notes, there have been a few questions that have not been officially answered. The money collected from Assassins has been pooled together to a central location and given to a charity. If you are unhappy with this decision and would rather have us give you your$2 back, then you are extremely uncaring and selfish, and we shall take no part in your shenanigans.
And to anyone who joined the "summer league", that was Central and CDH together, I hear it has fallen to shambles. Who feels ripped off now?
Anyhoo, keep your senses at full attention, as the DOA are going to pick the 7 any day now.

The End.
Fellow Assassins, we, the Disciples of Adrina, regret to inform you that Nerf Assassins will be disbanded at this notice. This decision is chiefly due to pressure from the Cretin-Derham Hall administration. They have threatened to punish any assassin so greatly that we can no longer justify continuing the game with good conscience. We do not want to be responsible for the suspension of any nerfer. If you do not know by now that Cretin-Derham Hall can do whatever it wants, whenever it wants, this should be a clear indicator. We want to thank the assassins for their participation and energy. Don’t let the man get you down.
With sincerity and gratitude,
The DOAs

Suspension
Due to threats from the CDH administration, the game is suspended until the DOA's make a decision about the continuation of Nerf Assassins. We are sorry the school decided to take it this way and we will try to come up with a decision as quickly as possible.
Stay tuned and thanks for your participation up to this point.
- Carl

New Rules/Reminder
First, an important reminder. Although Assassins is not affiliated with Cretin-Derham Hall, we are all students, and need to respect the school's rules. Complaints have been called in to the school. If your parents do not want you playing, and it is causing issues for the game, you need to drop out to preserve the game for the rest of us.
One new rule we are enforcing is that from now on, one must be completely out of a car before shots may be fired. Also, while this is not a specific rule, remember that reckless driving is dangerous and we do not want any assassins getting into trouble with the police, or hurt.
An important thing to keep in mind is that an assassin is not the only person living at their house, so do not disrupt houses late at night when people may be trying to sleep. Waking up family members who were sleeping because you want a kill is not cool.
Thanks for your consideration, we will keep you updated as the game progresses.
Any questions or concerns, call a DOA.

New Clarification
Alright. For starters, Mr. Kline and Mr. Lecker have yelled at kids for nerfing on school grounds and are confiscating blasters. The DOA's decided that all school-grounds are illegal for nerfing. No one can kill or be killed on school grounds. School grounds are defined as follows: Hartford to Randolph, and Albert to Hamline. That is a safe zone. As soon as you are in the street, you are fair game. Please be very careful in however you choose to nerf. Also, you can still shoot from cars, but they have to not be in motion, like normal. The DOA has spoken. Stay posted.
Forceful Entry
Opening a car door falls under the same ruling as opening a door to a house, or speeding. These things aren't technically legal, and we can't advocate them, but they are not against Nerf rules. If you don't want someone opening your door, lock it.

UPDATE!
Regarding Disputes/Complaints:
All complaints must be discussed by BOTH PARTIES INVOLVED. If only one side of the problem comes to a DOA, we cannot do much other than rule in their favor.
ALSO, if someone asks you if you are playing the game, you need to tell them the truth. Anyone who is found to have lied, will be convicted of douche bagery, and will face a top notch firing squad. Meaning, that shit will hurt. A lot. Cover your eyes.
Another thing that needs to be clarified, is car issues. There have been accidents caused by assassins, and that's not cool at all. Please watch your driving, because being an assassin only puts you so far above the law. Driving over lawns, speeding, and running lights is not encouraged, but we will have nothing to do with whatever mess one finds themselves in.
p.s. In a former post from "Pat" I carefully placed the phrase "too legitimate to quitimate" within that post. While I found it funny, Pat did not. So for all of you who think down of Pat because of that, it was me, and I will fight you.

DISPUTES!
If there are ANY disputes about if anyone was killed before/after 3:30, it is the KILLER'S responsibility to call a DOA immediately.
Add your favorite DOA to your phone book, just so shit doesn't get lost, and so calls can be made as required.

Rules Refined
After a DOA meeting, several things were determined.
1. Nick Schauer is no longer a DOA. Chris Bentley will be taking his place.
2. The following details were added to the rules and are in effect immediately:
Teams will be broken up when the player count gets down to a certain number.
Money will be divided up 70-30 to the last player standing and the player with the most kills, respectively.
In order to enter someone's house, you must be invited in BY A RESIDENT.
You can shoot into someone's house without entering.
Walking to a locker room from an extracurricular activity is a safe zone.
You may only shoot a driver of a car if the car is not in motion. Passengers can be shot at any time.
Darts cannot be taken from a player, even if they have been shot. Those things are expensive.
3. Players taking the ACT are safe for half an hour before and after the test, and buildings hosting the ACT are off-limits.

Standings
All person's/team's standings are posted online. A total roster is listed at the link below. If a person dies, it will be listed as so. An amount of kills will also be listed with a person's name. We will update it as soon as possible when we get new info. Also, when there is (are) a killing(s), a new post will be written saying who got killed by who. There will also be a top 5 list of killers updated regularly.

Numbers/Contact
The current DOA's are Patrick Kennedy, Ian Erickson, Carl Pearson, Chris Bentley, and R.J. White.
If you need to contact us about apps or anything else regarding Nerf Assassins, you can reach us here:
Patrick (651) 491-7451
Ian (651) 485-1257
Carl (651) 746-9015
R.J. (651) 785-8771
Chris (651) 587-5119
We will be going over apps this weekend. Don't forget the meeting on Monday, the 7th of April. It will be at the Expo fields, across Albert St. from school, at 2:35PM. 3/5 of the team needs to show, but it would be best if everyone did because that is where all will be explained.
And one last clarification: all teams will be facing all teams. There will not be two giant teams.

Meeting Time
Okay, so apps are due Friday. Several things regarding the apps, though:
Firstly, a slip of paper with the URL of the site on it was not an invitation. Everyone (except freshmen) is invited to assassinate.
Secondly, each member of your team must turn in an app. Even though your app has the name of everyone on your team, we need one from each and every one of you.
Lastly, hand in all 5 apps from your team (staples are nice) ALONG WITH 10 dollars (2 from each of you) to one of the DOA's.
Mmkay, that said, we need some time to look them over and account for all of you. A list of every assassin and their team will be posted online and updated as the game continues.
So our meeting will be on Monday, April 7th, on the soccer field across Albert Street, at 2:35. Yes, 2:35. We all have places to be. At least THREE FIfTHS OF YOUR TEAM needs to show up to the meeting. If none of you can make it (it's short and right across the street, so that's doubtful) let us know. We will have you check in, so we'll know.

A VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
Here are some other things to keep in mind:
1. We are the Nerf Assassins, and only assassins can be assassins if they attend CDH. HOWEVER, we are in no way affiliated with Cretin-Derham Hall. Make sure you know that. We want Nerf to have more rounds, and in order for that to happen, we need to stay out of the school's hair.
2. Please make sure you NEVER bring a blaster into school. If you feel the need to bring one, leave it in the trunk of your car. Otherwise, keep it at home.

RULES
Rules of the N.L.A., The Revised Edition MK III, Section the 4th of the Final Book of Adrena
Article I
Pre-round planning and such
Teams
You pick your own team of five people, including yourself.
You may not kill a member of your own team, or set him or her up to be killed.
Once the player count is down to a certain number (for example, 50 or 20, whatever the DOA's decide) we will notify you that teams no longer exist, and anyone can shoot anyone.
The last two players will be subjected to a scheduled man-to-man showdown.
Concerning Issues of Money, Cash, and Bling-Bling
The set dollar amount set is due in full at the organizational meeting.
The money will be placed in a sealed envelope and given to the DOA. The DOA will be responsible for replacing lost cash.
The pot will be distributed as follows: 70% will go to the winner of the round (the last player standing) and 30% will go to the player with the most kills.
Article II
In-round rules
Section 1
Who can play
All players must be either, sophomores, juniors, or Senior at CDH. Freshman, you’ll have to wait till next year.
You may only shoot at participants in the game. Please do not shoot at innocent bystanders, if the DOA receives complaints the player accused will be dealt with accordingly, most likely expulsion from the game by execution from the DOA. Non-players, outside helpers, or dead players cannot assist you in any way except driving, i.e. no holding blasters, bringing you ammo, etc.
Once the game starts, the player is in the game till the end. There is no backing out for any reason.
Siblings
You may not use your family advantage to hit your sibling, or have him/her hit by someone else.
Truces
Truces are not encouraged, and cannot be enforced by the DOA or team leaders. Breaking a truce does not count as douchebaggery.
Hitting or getting hit
You can be hit by a foam projectile launched/shot/fired/etc. from some sort of nerf, off brand (Lanard, Buzzbee, Larami, or other), or homemade, foam firing device.
Once hit, you are out of the game, and “dead”, no zombies, undead, or living dead shall participate.
You can only hit another member of the game by hitting him directly (no bounces or ricochets) from the waist (belt line) up. Being hit in the arm or even the ear still count. (And no, you cannot hike up your pants to your ears.)
There is no aggressive contact.
There is no blocking. You cannot block a dart with a backpack, umbrella etc.
(car doors, garage doors, glass doors are acceptable). If your blaster gets shot you are still alive. But you are not allowed to modify your blaster to include a blocking device.
Do not purposely aim at a players face (because getting hit in the eye would suck). Head shots by modified blasters may be revoked by the DOA if deemed necessary. This rule may be clarified further later on.
Checkpoints
Once every week or two, we will announce a checkpoint, which will be something like a parking lot or a house. In order to keep playing the game, you need to personally check in (walk up and say hi to the DOA) at said checkpoint. The checkpoint and surrounding area will be a safe zone, thus you are able to safely speak to us.
Section 2
Safe zones
Work, church, school, and extracurricular activities. While you are in those safe zones you may not shoot at any participants, nor may they shoot at you.
You cannot enter a player’s home unless invited in by a resident. You may open a front door/window from the outside of the house but may not enter. You may shoot into a player's house. You may go into a player’s backyard. (Beware of dogs.)
Shooting players while they are at extra-curricular events is off limits for the entire duration of the event lasting until that person is released from the jurisdiction of the coach or presiding authority figure. Players walking back to the locker room are safe.
A player is also safe if they are out with their family, i.e. out to dinner, church or something similar. If a player is obviously bringing his or her parents with them as protection, notify a DOA and that player will be dealt with accordingly.
Play times
The round will start at the given date and given time. Once the round has started, valid shooting may begin one hour after school ends, i.e. 3:30 p.m. on a typical school day. Valid shooting will cease at 1 a.m. on school nights. As for the weekend, shooting will commence 1 hour after school ends on Friday, and will not cease until 1 a.m. Sunday night/Monday morning.
Being gone (for instance on a family vacation) for five or more days results in a disqualification.
Section 3
Outside influences
Police: If you see a participant talking with the police, cease all nerf activity. We don’t want to be labeled as jerks, punk-asses, or have other negative connotations toward the nerfing community.
Store owners/managers: if a store owner, manager, or employee asks you not to nerf in their store, respect their wishes. If you know of a store that does not appreciate nerfing, don’t walk in flaunting around your nerf blaster. We want to have a good reputation with the surrounding community so we can continue playing now and in the future.
School: CDH is basically just a medium of communication. Do not bring your nerf blasters to school. NERF AND ALL NERF-RELATED ACTIVITY IS IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH CRETIN-DERHAM HALL.
Driving
It is recommended that you have at least one member of your team who has both their license and access to a vehicle.
Do not obstruct traffic, or block other people’s cars in alley ways, streets, or cul-de-sacs.
“Drive bys,” or firing from a moving vehicle is not allowed. You may only fire from a car when it is not moving, and preferably turned off, (help save the environment).
Do not use your car as a dart proof case, however you may hide behind cars and such but do not hide in your locked car to avoid being shot. You may shoot a driver only if the car is not in motion, but passengers may be shot at any time. More clarification may be added to this rule later on.
Weapons
Do not paint blasters black (just to prevent frightening neighbors and police).
You cannot take, damage or break other player’s blasters.
Modified blasters are allowed, but may be subject to banning if deemed dangerous.
Darts are to be shot at your own discretion. You are responsible for finding any lost darts you may want back. A player may not take another player's darts, even if they were shot.
Modified darts, or Stefans, are allowed as long as they are safe, i.e. not sharp or pointy tips and such.
Modified blasters are considered to be modified if anything more than air restrictor removal is done, i.e. barrel replacement, spring replacement, etc.
Responsibility
You are responsible for your own actions: None of the other Nerf Assassins or any of the DOA's will be held accountable for any accident that may occur during this game.
If a player breaks or damages anyone’s property or possessions, THAT PLAYER is responsible for replacing/repairing any damaged property, possessions, vehicle etc.
If there is any bickering amongst assassin over a successful/unsuccessful hit there will be a meeting with the DOA and the bickering members will most likely be “executed” by a firing squad if there is no compromise.
Rules/Safe zones and pretty much anything can be changed at anytime based upon the changes made at the later meetings.
Final Rule
Do not, under any circumstances, no matter how extenuating, ever, be douche bags.
